the SNES version of turbo was a lot different from the arcade. Ken still had his cheap redizzy hurricane and Chuns air throw was godly. (as you can see in the video).
I really liked that Dhalsim player. Great seeing how he manuvers in pre-ST. Less rushdown centric. It was much harder to control space with his drills back then as well. I'm a career Sim player, and played a lot of HF on the SNES. But I can see I played him all wrong. Man, if I know what I knew then what I know now, I would have smoked people in arcades back in 1993. Looking to smoke people on HD Remix whenever I overcome this unemployement
That Ryu player played really awkward at times, random hurricane kicks that could have easily of been punished yet were left unpunished. Plus he was jumping in WAY too much, especially against his match up on Sagat. In the Sim match up there was many times he could've Shoryu the Drill and gain the position but just opted to block instead. These guys were solid players, but not Japan's best during that time period. The arcade players were vastly superior by far. Still a fun watch.
wow Japan must be a fun place..where can you find a show that'll hype up a simple tournament..but in a good way.. and please do not mention ARENA from G4 channel
I want to know if any of these tournaments take place in Canada because this game(street fighter II turbo) is a game ive played so much that i really wish i knew others who played it. Does anyone know?
@asyo22 Not if you grew up in Japan, were the majority of their Fighting game community play and practice at the arcade. Their joystick is our pad equivalent.

seeing this really shows a difference in aproaches to using SF characters...these guys are more into projectiles and heavy kicks

It's funny you mention that Toneman because I also have that EGM issue. It's also the same issue where they preview SSF2 for the first time.
Yeah, Sagat is one character I'd love to see left out of the next SF.

@asyo22 99% of competitive fighting game players use a joystick.
Hey, I'd like to see you do better in freakin' SF2 CE.
サガットが反則ぎみな気がする。
接近になったときの、どっちに投げが入るかの判定基準がイマイチ分からない
